  2. from the south,

Through Chillingham to the North or Murwillumbah to the East. Coming to Tyalgum by one route provides an opportunity to leave by the other. Both are very scenic and interesting, Via Murwillumbah and Tyalgum Road the route provides beautiful vistas of Mt Warning and the border ranges. Travelling via Chillingham is a roadway  meandering through farming country and then through winding lush valleys.  with  The most direct and the quickest route from both north and south is via the M1.

Tyalgum via the M1 and The Tweed Valley Way

Coming from the south on the M1, the Murwillumbah turn off onto the Tweed Valley Way follows the Billinudgel turn off. Coming from the north the turn off follows the Cudgen/Kingscliff turn offs

From both directions this is then a pleasant relaxing country drive of 20-25 minutes. When you reach Murwillumbah, turn off the Tweed Valley Way toward Murwillumbah CBD. You go over the Tweed River Bridge and continue straight ahead at the first roundabout. Go past Sunnyside Shopping Centre on your left and straight through the next roundabout. You pass Knox Park on the left and then turn left into Riverview Street, second on the left after the roundabout. Signage at Riverview Street indicates a tourist drive to Mt Warning, Uki, Tyalgum, Kyogle and Nimbin. Follow Riverview Street past Murwillumbah High School and continue on through to the suburb of Bray Park. About 1.1 kms past the Bray Park General Store ( on your right and bright red) you will see a small sign {sign on left hand side of the road} to Tyalgum, and a large pink billboard on the corner advertising Flutterbies – turn right here.

Enjoy the scenic drive following Tyalgum Road for approximately 15 minutes. On entering the village of Tyalgum you will come to a ‘T’ intersection with a give way sign. Turn right and then first left. Welcome to Tyalgum!.
